There's always been a struggle between the greater good vs individual rights. Nothing new there. Again, are men angels?
But, until now, I didn't realize you were part of the "America has always been mean and evil" crowd. Very sad. I guess it's a matter of perspective. The Founders vs Progressivism, huh?
In terms of Liberty, if you can't see, or won't acknowledge, that we're on a markedly steep downward spiral this last few years, worse than ever in our lifetimes, then we don't have a whole lot to discuss. One of these days, I hope to correspond with a truly "liberal" Liberal.
All is not lost. While the low-information masses are bleeting, "Oobaaamaah, Oobaaamaah," many of us recognize the coming storm. Like the immigrants, our guns won't be illegal either, they'll be "undocumented."
