Hey Jim,

My first impression?? ...this is erroneous garbage. ...and you probably shouldn't lose much sleep over it.  I'd hate to be wrong, but from what I can see, this doesn't seem real.  Whomever Wendell Crosley is (a pseudonym ?), they're probably using this to advance their "street creds" or maybe even for a resume.

See these three links if you're interested.  The first two are from 2007.  See the comment, below, for the third one.

Here are some of my thoughts after looking at these articles.

Okay, first of all let's assume this person was actually hacked. I think your site, NoNags, being mentioned is just a fluke.  If someone's system has been compromised, it's very common for the Bot to stop you from downloading any anti-virus and malware protection.  It's built into the code.  That's why programs like Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware include tools like Chameleon, and Norton's will boot into Safe Mode.  If they were hacked, it stands to reason that "the code" was stopping them from downloading anti-virus apps -- not necessarily blocking them from NoNags.

But what really stands out for me? ...is how personal this is. ...I've been hacked before!!  And I'll be go to hell if I know any personal information about the little punk, or where he originates from.  Look at those 3 links I gave.  How do they know (1) his name, (2) where he worked, or was fired from, (3) his college degree, and (4) and the exact specifics of what he did?  Whenever someone knows all of the information they provided (personal and computer specifics), it doesn't sound like a common user.

Heck, the comment on the third link even has that same last name.  Very weird.  She includes a phone number.  Guess you could always call her, and see if he got a job being "a hacker."  Big smile
