Wow. You post partisan, rightwing propaganda, attacking the President, ACORN, SEIU,   PETA, GLAAD, NOW, ACLU, CBS, NBC,ABC, The New York Times, and Planned Parenthood   - And then call me the bottom feeder!

Perspective is indeed everything. And so is memory. I recall the posts (and they are archived) from you during the election. President Obama could be Jesus Christ walking on the water, and you would still be attacking. The man's a politician, and flawed, and if you have specific wrongdoing link to it so everyone can see. Your perspectives is so skewed that you wrongly assume everyone thinks as you do -and when you discover they do not, you attack and insult them.

Well, except for NAMBLA, every organization you’ve named works for the betterment  of mankind, for fair treatment, for equality  -If that’s being Leftwing, count me among the left. I’ve already seen the right wing in action, and judging it by you, and how you twist and distort  what is said, your disdain and contempt for those who do not think or act as you do –I’ll stick with the left.

Let’s examine that, shall we?

Maxx- My idea of America is [of] a robust living dynamic nation, attempting to mesh the beliefs, the cultures,  the differences of so many millions of people into a nation able to provide the means for living up to the ideals expressed in Our Constitution's Preamble:


"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence promote  the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

Yours seems to be the "foolish caricature", a set of ideals based on a system held static in time, stuck 230 years in the past, unyielding to a modern world constantly changing to reflect technology, the racial composition of the population, the age , the abilities and desires of that population,  a caricature based on a fantasy, distorted by the passage of time, and the fading of memories.


Note that Robert’s version of America is that of a bucolic nation, where those who think, look and act differently from him are “In their place”-  De negro slaves is in de fields, , de homo’s is hanging from de gallows, de wimmin is barefoots and pregnant, only de land owners is votin’ and de only news be what Robert allows. Robert is stuck in time. His views of an unchanging America defy reality. Thomas Jefferson noted more than 200 years ago that change would occur, and our government would have to change with it.


 Robert does like to do the twist, tho.


When I pointed out that my America was a dynamic, growing,  constantly changing  country, trying to live up to the ideals expressed in the constitution, and that Robert’s idea of what America is was still stuck 250 years in the past,  Robert somehow twists it in his head that I an ignoring the constitution when it opposes me, and quoting it when it favors me.Talk about a two faced argument, one not remotely based on facts as the above quote illustrates.


 Robert wrote "This problem also, someone lacking a set of core principles, is what makes intelligent conversation with some people virtually impossible. They'll say whatever is expedient, if for no other reason than to provoke arguments."


Now, Robert  certainly wouldn’t be addressing ME as having no core principles, would he?


I believe in, and my posts consistently reflect this, and have , a deep respect for the principles of Freedom,  of Equality (regardless of who you are, what sex you are, what color you are, who you sleep with) I believe in respect for all living creatures  My arguments reflect this, and are consistent.


The fact that Robert’s version of freedom and equality differ from mine matter not one whit. The contempt he shows for everything different from him is apparent in every attack, every insult. This is what makes intelligent conversation impossible, and provokes arguments.

Interesting. During Bush’s reign, which saw the explosion of warrentless wiretaps on average Americans, the enactment of the most intrusive assault on the Constitution and the Bill of rights ever in the form of the Patriot Act, The instigation by this nation of not one, but two wars, the use of political affiliation to fill jobs, the all out attacks and slander of an American citizen, and the outing of a CIA operative by Whitehouse officials,  A list of sex scandals  from the Congress and Senate that would  make Larry Flint blush, More cover-ups, and claims of Executive Privilege than even Richard Nixon dared to envision, Robert defended the status quo.


When Monies were being poured like a raging river into the wars, with little hope of recovering it, Robert defended the status quo. 


When Tax breaks were pushed for wealthy Americans (it would trickle down and create Jobs) Robert defended the status quo (where's the jobs Robert?)


When Bush took a several hundred billion dollar surplus and turned it into a trillion dollar deficit, Robert defended the status quo. 


Now, When a president proposes to salvage what he can of the nations businesses, and financial institutions, to create jobs, and get the economy rolling,  Robert calls it "batshit crazy" AND “undermine the Constitution”


When this President declares we should, instead of spending billions on wars and destruction, spend money to create a health care system, and spend that money on the people here at home for constructive purposes. Robert calls it "batshit crazy" AND “undermine the Constitution”

Is it any wonder there can be no common ground between those of Robert’s ilk, and those who believe that Freedom, and Equality are for everyone, not just the wealthy, and other white guys who look and think like me?
