I have a W/D external drive that I have never had the pleasure of using. I bought it and then moved and it and Win 7 are not communicating now that I am finally trying to use it.
It is pretty straight forward hookup and devices see's it, but the wizard will not come up for me to setup the drive. It's a W/D book type 750gig. Downloaded new software and updates. It claims W Win 7 has the driver and Win 7 neither has it nor can find it. I even downloaded the original image file for the drive, nothing.
When I check properties it says device is working but the general tab doesn't recognize a description nor company name.
Running 7 on my 3500 AMD 4gig + 8gig speedboost, Msi MB 6 years old and she keeps getting better than my newer mightier laptops. All things are up to date .
