If you want to use another software program (e.g. Thunderbird) as your email client, it's easiest to change this through Internet Explorer's settings.

  • From your IE browser >> Internet Options >> Programs Tab >> E-mail >> Choose from drop-down list.



    • Using Gmail as your primary email client will take a couple steps, but Google's site gives easy-to-follow instructions:

    1. Enable POP (post office protocol) in Gmail

    2. Configure Outlook Express to work with Gmail


    If you're still having problems with Outook Express, here are some further step-by-step instructions:

  • Troubleshooting >> IMAP >> Outlook Express
