Ok  The hard drive is out of a dead computer but dead because of the hard drive.  I have run it in my computer and one other and it will not allow a format as it keeps saying that the the disk is not NTSF but RAW.  My understanding of RAW is that the drive took an electrical spike of some sort and the data on it changed.  It is a 500gig drive and I was just playing with it to
