I have upgraded several of my machines to win7 they work great.

None have less than a 2 gig ram setup, and I found that using a dual boot setup tends to be trouble.

I use the Verizon wireless dongle and have no trouble with the DNS or IP address, but then I always leave the dongle in place when I bootup.

I am more comfortable with the XP setup, which is why I use this particular antique but the win 7 on my laptop has no problems using the same dongle.

If you did an upgrade to win7, reinstall your software for the wireless dongle making sure to plug the dongle in when the installation calls for it, and not a second before.

With a lot of upgrade OS programs it is often necessary to reinstall plug and play hardware and drivers and reboot the machine.
