Next Saturday is my Grandma's ninetieth birthday, and I'm clueless about her present. It's going to be such a fiasco -- about 200 friends and family swooping onto the farm -- all the way down to great great grandkids. I'm not even sure she wants or expects anything?! Knowing her, just having some of her most loved people there (yep, that's me too) is all she's looking for.
But it seems like I should bring something special, huh?
She's a laid-back old farm lady. Very hard to buy for. Anything new and shiny (or high tech) is a waste of money. And after this long, she already has all of her "creature comforts" and the stuff she uses/needs.
I'm stumped. Usually I just buy her several pounds of dried apricots (her favorite) which she counts on about twice a year. ...as if she couldn't get them herself, right? She acts like I've given her precious jewels, every time.
Should I buy something different this year? What do you get a woman who has everything?
