I set my main browser IE8 to not show pictures as my bandwidth is very limited, It's only 5 gigs a month and if I start looking at pictures on sites, I can use it up in two weeks instead of just loosing service for a couple of days at the end of the month when I run out. Mostly I lose service because I use my bandwidth for reading, and  downloading programs and updates for the computers I work on for folks.
