My goodness, when was that a viable statement? In 1992, when CA enacted the Motorcycle helmet law and I stopped riding for 10 years? In 1972, when I was drafted?

1948 when the courts decided that bigots couldn't determine whether two adults who loved each other could marry, but this time it was because the couple were of different races, not the same sex. Of course, the bigots used Biblical arguments or "tradition" to justify their views then too.

1919, when the US decided to ban Alcohol, or 1933 when it decided to repeal the previous decision?

1913, when the government decided it was OK to collect income tax?

When was this a free country?
