One feature I truly enjoy in Windows is the ability to associate a sound file with particular events. My co-workers find it particularly annoying when Eudora announces to everyone in the office that I have new mail every 15 minutes or so. And I'm always on the look out for new sounds to use. There are lots of GUI programs out there for playing audio files, but as we all now know, I spend my time in console boxes. So I wrote WAV to play a sound file from the CMD prompt. It is also useful in batch files. Play any audio file supported by Windows, including .MP3 files!
